Asian Report for 21 February 2012 - Birds With Skymirrors

The 2012 New Zealand International Arts Festival is about to begin in Wellington. Festival Director Lisa Twomey says "the NZ work for 2012 is distinctly of and from Aotearoa," which she defines as a "stand-out programme of Maori and Pacific Island work." One of this year's festival highlights includes Birds with Skymirrors. It's by the Auckland-based group MAU, choreographed and directed by internationally acclaimed Lemi Ponifasio.
