Basic Miso Soup
This is simple, yet super "OISHII" (delicious). Servings: 2 cups. Cook Time: 10 mins
Ingredients
- 50g tofu
- 1/2 stalk Spring Onion
- 2-3 tbsp miso paste
- 10g wakame seaweed (Waikaitu wakame is the best. It is salted.)
- 2 cups Dashi broth or you can just use water
Method
Put Dashi broth (or water) in a pot and heat up.
Rinse and soak wakame seaweed (2-3mins) to take salt off, cut tofu into 1cm cube, finely chop spring onion.
Once Dashi broth heated up, turn heat off, add wakame seaweed, tofu, spring onion.
Stir miso paste in the pot.
Note: Always add miso paste at very end, never boil it as it loses flavour.
