Las Cafeteras brought with them their infectious energy, positive spirit and inspirational message that has taken them to the Lincoln Center in New York, the Montreal Jazz Fest, and many other high-profile venues and Festivals. At WOMAD in NZ their songs were greeted with a hugely enthusiastic response.
Las Cafeteras obviously loved it here in Aotearoa. As they wrote on their facebook page: "Gracias NEW ZEALAND! We were honored to share our culture & some bangin’ music w/ you. Thank you for the love, for sharing your ceremonies, your traditions & your hopes for Māori people & all those who come to your land! Kia Kaha."
