NZCT Chamber Music Contest 2013
The New Zealand Community Trust Chamber Music Contest, run by Chamber Music New Zealand, is the only nationwide chamber music competition for young musicians and composers and in 2013 entries involved more than 1700 students from throughout the country.
Twelve semi-finalist ensembles – six from Auckland, five from Christchurch and one from Wellington – were selected following 15 district contests in June 2013. The National Finals weekend was held over two days in Wellington. Following the semi-finalist rounds six ensembles were selected to compete in the National Final concert where the overall winner was decided.
