The world premiere of Leila Adu's 'Rain as Blessings Fall', written as part of Orchestra Wellington's 'Composer-in-Residence' programme.
Adu was inspired by a Tibetan Buddhist prayer by Kalu Rinpoche and revised by her teacher, Lama Chima Shore.
Adu says: "I am creating musical colour fields of beauty that can be enjoyed by everyone…in these times of environmental danger and international greed, the planet is especially in need of blessings."
Recorded at the Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington by RNZ Concert
