British conductor Sir Andrew Davis was originally to conduct this concert of works by Beethoven and Vaughan Williams but he sadly died a few months before. Karl-Heinz Steffens once again stepped with the baton in for the Philharmonia and Argentinian pianist Indgrid Fliter is the soloist.
