1pm Haydn Rawstron: Opera in a Canterbury country house
Haydn Rawstron began his Lansdown Festival of Narropera after earthquakes destroyed central Christchurch performance spaces. He turned his home Lansdown House and Garden into a summer opera venue. This summer’s festival ends with Weber’s once popular opera Der Freischütz.

1.30pm Brilliant young pianist Jason Bae returns
New Zealand’s only Steinway artist Jason Bae returns from his studies at the Royal Academy to give a recital tour of the country. Jason was the youngest ever concerto soloist with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra at the Starlight Symphony in the Park. He has a new CD out and a blooming career as one to watch.
