New Zealand composer Penny Axtens was back in the country recently – her composition 'Part the First' was performed and recorded in the NZSO Composer Sessions.
But there are other parts to Penny, too. She is a marketing and promotions manager at Sony Classical in Berlin, working with some of the names you’ll often hear on RNZ Concert, such as tenor Jonas Kaufmann and pianist Igor Levit.
Clarissa Dunn caught up with Penny to talk about her job at Sony Classical, and how the move to Berlin came about.
