A bribery case involving 19 parliamentarians in Vanuatu has been adjourned for 14 days to allow some of the defendants to obtain proper legal representation.
Six government ministers, 12 government MPs and an opposition MP are facing charges which centre around money they allegedly received from a former opposition leader Moana Carcasses.
Mr Carcasses has admitted to offering loans to MPs from his own funds, but denies they were bribes to lure support for changing government.
Sato Kilman was elected prime minister after the Moana Carcasses-led opposition moved a motion of no-confidence against the previous prime minister Joe Natuman.
