A new report in the Marshall Islands has detailed government employees using public money as personal slush funds.
The report found staff and management at the Environmental Protection Authority used the agency's charge account to buy food, phone cards and even air conditioners.
The Auditor General's report in the 2013 fiscal year was the one of the worst on record for the Marshalls EPA.
But our correspondent says the latest report to parliament, for 2014, takes the term "misuse of government funds" to new heights.
The misspending also provoked the Auditor General to say the EPA could make major savings on food stuffs if it cut down on having meetings with staff in restaurants and utilised its newly renovated conference room.
