A company that wants to build a $US164 million hotel on Saipan in the Northern Marianas is in talks with Hilton Hotels and Resorts.

American Sinopan, which wants to build a resort with more than 1400 rooms, said it was currently negotiating a franchising agreement with Hilton.
American Sinopan said the CNMI needed another international brand hotel to attract more tourists.
Construction is expected to start in the first quarter of next year and the hotel is due to be finished by 2020.
