The family of a young man whose dead body was at the Malietoa Tanumafili II hospital mortuary in Savaii, was forced to bury their son early after a refrigeration malfunction.

A source at the hospital told KHJ News that the problem was not discovered until Sunday evening and that the body had started to decompose.
That source said a second body, that of a woman, was transferred to the only private mortuary on Savaii.
