Authorities in Vanuatu have arrested six Chinese nationals for operating an internet scam from the country.

The Daily Post reported that Chinese law enforcement officials arrived in Vanuatu shortly before the arrests, and helped identify premises in Port Vila.
The newspaper added that the joint Chinese-Vanuatu operation was approved by the internal affairs minister, Andrew Napuat.
It is understood the group are likely to be handed over to the Chinese authorities to be returned there.
