Nine police officers in Fiji have been suspended in relation to an assult in Naqia.
A man was hospitalised earlier this week after he was allegedly thrown off a bridge by officers in the village.
The police said officers had been suspended pending the outcome of a criminal investigation.
On Tuesday, the president of the National Federation Party and opposition MP, Pio Tikoduadua, was arrested after he posted a video on Facebook in which he set out the allegations.
Mr Tikoduadua had been released but his case is with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions who will decide if further action would taken against him.
