Fiji police have recovered the body of a fisherman who was reported missing this week.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the man headed out to sea in his 12-foot tin boat on Tuesday night.
She says a police search was launched on Wednesday afternoon after the 49-year-old failed to return home in the morning.
According to Ms Naisoro, his body was found along the Benau River.
She said a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
