Nauru Airlines is set to continuing flying between Brisbane and several Pacific airports until October 2025, following an agreement with the Australian government.

The weekly flight departs from Brisbane via Nauru, Tarawa, Majuro, and Pohnpei to Palau.

Nauru's national carrier commenced the weekly service in October 2022, providing essential air links connecting northern and central Pacific countries to key destinations in Australia, Asia, and Fiji.

Nauru Airlines chief executive Brett Gebers said air services that connect Pacific Islands countries with an important partner like Australia are crucial to the economic development of the region.

He said they are grateful the Australian government is partnering with them to support these essential flights.

Meanwhile, Qantas will soon take over direct Brisbane to Palau flights.
