Cook Islands opposition MP and leader of the Cook Islands United Party Teariki Heather says Cook Islanders are concerned about Prime Minister Mark Brown's decisions that have upset New Zealand.
Teariki has filed for a no-confidence vote against Brown and will be leading a march on Monday (Tuesday NZT) as a protest against recent developments impacting the relationship with the Cook Islands and Aotearoa.
He said Cook Islanders want their government to reconsider its actions "that will seriously impact" the people of the island.
"For all he disasters that Cook Islands has faced, New Zealand has come to our aid," he said.
