The Samoan Electoral Commission has confirmed 27 parliamentary seats, as the official count for the 2025 general election enters its third day.

Twelve seats were confirmed on Monday, with several more added on Tuesday afternoon.

As of Wednesday 11am (NZ time), the Faʻatuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) party has secured 15 seats, the Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP) has won nine, and three independents have each secured a seat.

The Samoa United Party, led by the caretaker Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mata'afa, is yet to secure a seat.

Preliminary results showed FAST in a commanding lead with 30 seats, according to Samoa Observer's live results tracker.

However, the results are not final until each candidate is declared a winner.

The Samoan parliament (Fono) is composed of 51 members of parliament.
