An Australian academic is calling for a review of the European Union's tax blacklists after five Pacific Islands appear have been targetted unjustifiably.
Griffith University Social Science lecturer, Dr Anthony Van Fossen says the latest move is a setback for the movement against international tax havens as it is so wildly inaccurate.
He told Jenny Meyer Pacific Island countries are being scapegoated by the European Union in what appears to be a distraction from what is really going on with tax evasion in the Northern Hemisphere.
