An academic says the increase in foreign aid announced by New Zealand's new government has been spun to sound better than it actually is.
Terrence Wood is a research fellow with the Development Policy Centre at the Australian National University.
He told Ben Robinson Drawbridge the announced increase of 714 million New Zealand dollars needs to be clarified.
