A month out from Vanuatu's general election, the caretaker prime minister has expressed faith in a new generation of leaders.
Charlot Salwai has the unwelcome distraction of a charge of perjury hanging over his head which could yet prevent him contesting the election.
The charge stems from his government's move to introduce parliamentary secretary positions, a move the Supreme Court later ruled as 'void and of no effect'.
Mr Salwai told Johnny Blades the ability to work with other MPs, including the new wave, is the key to forming a stable coalition government.
