The Marshall Islands is the second country in the world to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of "clean water for all".
An all-volunteer women's organisation in the country has been credited for spearheading the project, providing simple water filtration systems for over 8000 households.
The president of the Kora In Okrane (KIO) women's organisation, Angeline Heine-Reimers says the success of the programme was due to the partnership with multiple government ministries, other NGOs and the private sector.
She spoke with Pacific Waves host Susana Suisuiki.
