Andrew Fagan’s passion for words saw him fund his first book of poetry from the songwriting royalties he earned from the first multi platinum selling Mockers album ‘Swear It’s True’ released in 1983.
Since those days Fagan has never stopped writing with three slim volumes of poetry and an autobiography to his credit, a huge back catalogue of songs spanning the Mockers, solo output, Lig and his current band Fagan and the People.
Fagan is also a sailor who has taken his 18 foot yacht Swirly World almost two thousand kilometers, to Mooloolaba, Australia and back, as well around New Zealand. For Music 101 Trevor Reekie talks to Andrew Fagan ahead of his nationwide tour with his band The People.
