1:15 Is it ok to let your kids drink alcohol?

To be clear, we're talking teenagers here, rather than toddlers. Is there really any harm in letting the 16-year-old have a Gizzy Gold at Christmas? Or what about a half glass of wine at Xmas dinner? It's an issue RNZ digital has explored in this article.

A rouge information center cold call! Jesse rolls the dice and calls a random iSite in this fair land. They don't know he's calling and he doesn't know who will be on the other end of the line.

1:45 Great album: Under the Sun Vol. 3

Today's feature album is Under The Sun volume 3.  This is an annual compilation of music from the Hawkes Bay, produced by the Backline Charitable Trust

Each year, a new record is produced, providing an opportunity for up-and-coming artists to be featured alongside established acts.

They only make 300 copies of the compilation on vinyl, so it is special little time capsule of music in the Hawkes Bay. Keep an eye out for Volume 4 is coming early next year.

2:30 NZ Sporting History: Daniel Vettori

In a career that spanned 18 years, Daniel Vettori established himself as one of the finest left-arm spinners in cricket history.

Making his debut at just 18, Vettori went on to become New Zealand's most capped ODI player, the third-highest wicket-taker, and, alongside Ross Taylor, New Zealand's most capped Test cricketer.

With over 4,500 Test runs, including six centuries, he also took over the captaincy during a dark period in New Zealand cricket.

Since retiring, Vettori has turned to coaching, currently working with the SunRisers Hyderabad in the IPL and the Australian Men's bowling squad..

Last week, he was recognised as one of New Zealand's greatest players ... joining the likes of Sir Richard Hadlee and Martin Crowe in New Zealand's inaugural Hall of Fame
