Dogs with flat faces and bulging eyes have become a popular choice for pet owners, but we're being warned their selective breeding puts them at risk for a large number of health problems.
Leading vet and academic Dr Dan O'Neill is a global advocate for stopping such breeding, and wants vets and rescue organisations to make a stand against what he calls "dog breeding lunacy".
He joins Jesse ahead of presenting his views at the NZ Veterinary Association Conference.
