Aretha Franklin has touched the hearts of people from all around the world with her music for generations.
The singer who died this morning at the age of 76 was diagnosed with cancer in 2010.
She announced last year she was retiring from music.
Franklin had more than 20 US chart hits over a music career spanning seven decades, including one of her greatest hits Respect, released in 1967.
