A woman sexually assaulted by a former Marist brother as a young girl has told a court her life was destroyed by the abuse.
Michael Beaumont abused three girls while working in his community as a Catholic brother in the 1970s.
The crimes went unchecked until the woman went to the police in 2016.
And on Wednesday - more than 40 years later - she got her day in court.
RNZ court reporter Anneke Smith was there.
