The government is promising a major shake up to expand the range of healthcare services for babies from ages zero to five years old.
It comes after a review of the Well Child Tamariki Ora programme found children are slipping through the cracks of an outdated and inequitable system.
The new plan is the biggest overhaul in pēpi healthcare in 25 years - repurposing existing health models to directly target inequities for Māori and Pasifika babies.
