A man who stabbed his girlfriend to death and left her body in a burning car in south Auckland has been jailed for at least 12 years.
Palmer Marsters has been sentenced to life imprisonment after earlier pleading guilty to murdering 23-year-old Chontel Wiki-O'Brien in November last year.
Marsters was on bail at the time - and wasn't supposed to be in contact with Ms Wiki-O'Brien - after an earlier violent altercation.
