Berm-agedon - councillor's daughter in fight for fruit trees

The daughter of a New Plymouth councillor is facing a hefty fine after a years-long battle with council over who is responsible for a massive pohutukawa on the berm outside her home. Frustrated at the lack of action over the tree - which is growing through powerlines - Alana Brough has planted a fruit and vegetable garden in the berm in defiance of council bylaws.
