High Performance Sport NZ boss speaks at Podmore inquest

High Performance Sport NZ boss Raelene Castle has given an emotional statement to the family of Olivia Podmore at an inquest into the death of the elite cyclist. Ms Castle told the family of the young athlete that "everything we do at HPSNZ is about trying to make sure that we don't find ourselves in this situation again". The senior sports leader was giving evidence before the Coroner's Court in Hamilton on the steps taken by the government agency in the wake of the 24 year-old's death in August 2021.
