Should every weekend be a long weekend?

The 40 hour work week in New Zealand was largely cemented in the 1930's. It was argued it would increase work opportunities in an economic depression. French law on the other hand defines the full time work week as 35 hours. Last year 45 German companies took part in a four day work week trial and one US police department has also given it a go. Charlotte Lockhart, is the co-founder of Four Day Week Global, an organisation prompting a shift to shorter hours. Lockhart spoke to Lisa Owen.
