The Word festival has this week been bringing Otautahi Christchurch alive.
Brought together by their love for words, more than 75 events featuring more than 150 writers, artists and thinkers have been keeping the city abuzz for four days. Writers and artists have been meeting, creating new ideas and participating in discussions about the power of words.
Culture 101's Perlina Lau speaks to senior lecturer at the University of Canterbury, arts and theatre critic and Word festival trustee Erin Harrington about the show-stoppers at the festival and being a critic in a small pond.
