Willis: not a time for politics after North Is flooding
The first two political polls since Chris Hipkins took over as Prime Minister show Labour nudging ahead. The 1News Kantar Public Poll has Labour on 38 per cent, up 5 percentage points, and National down one to 37. That's Labour's best result in the poll since January last year. The Newshub-Reid Research Poll also released last night has Labour on 38, up 5.7, and National down 4.1 to 36.6. Chris Hipkins has also pushed ahead of Christopher Luxon as preferred Prime Minister in both polls. So why do those polled prefer Chris Hipkins? Nathan Rarere put that to National's Deputy Nicola Willis.
