Andrew Farriss is best known as the co-founder, songwriter, keyboardist, guitarist and backing vocalist of INXS, a band that boasts 75 million record sales and stacks of musical accolades globally.

Farriss is one of the most respected songwriters of his generation, crafting a career that spans over four decades. But he’s also a family man and has a deep connection to country music as a solo artist. With which he has received golden guitar nominations, several radio hits and a Top-100 Billboard Indicator chart hit in the US. He joins Kara Rickard and Mark Willias on the line from Tamworth to talk about his new country music chapter.
He shared about how a chance meeting with Tom Jones led to INXS working in Willie Nelsons studio in Texas, writing for other musicians, exploring the country music genre.

Andrew Farriss's second solo album ‘The Prosecutor’ is due in 2025. “The songs on ‘The Prospector’ are about searching for the gold in life – reaching out for something higher,” Farriss explains. “It’s about digging deep inside, and encouraging others to look for the real treasures in life.”
