Roimata Smail on Te Tiriti

Roimata Smail has spent twenty years as a human rights and public law barrister and has represented many claimants to the Waitangi Tribunal. She's also written a best selling book called Understanding Te Tiriti and gives public talks and seminars to promote a better understanding of the treaty. Roimata Smail says if treaty principles are not present in legislation then 'it's easy for Te Tiriti to be forgotten.'
