Early this morning - mana whenua placed a cloak of peace on the occupation around Parliament - Te Kahu o te Raukura - to help facilitate a peaceful end to the protest.
In the past three weeks, the formerly-lush grounds have transformed into a sea of tents, squalor, and lawlessness.
