Assistant Police Commissioner ahead of gang patch ban

The police are confident officers are ready to crack down on gangs - as new legislation kicks in from midnight. The rules ban gang patches in public spaces and let police break up gatherings if they think gang members are disrupting public activities. Those breaking the law will be arrested, have their patches seized, and face prosecution. But Black Power life member and community advocate Denis O'Reilly say they might try and get around this.
