Council aspirants kept in dark over state of NP water network
A secret briefing on the perilous state of New Plymouth's water pipes has raised the ire of council aspirants in the city. Mayoral candidate Max Brough says incumbent councillors were told at least 300 million dollars extra may need to be spent on the network over the next 10 years. He says that information should be in the public domain. Our Taranaki-Whanganui reporter Robin Martin has more.
