Hong Kong's most prominent activist Joshua Wong is behind bars tonight after pleading guilty to charges related to last year's protests.
He is facing up to five year in prison after he pleaded guilty to organising and taking part in protests outside a police station in June last year.
Previously, Wong and his fellow activist, Ivan Lam, had entered not guilty pleas, but both men changed their minds at the last minute.
In a tweet, Wong said "Compared to 2000 Hong Kongers [who] are prosecuted and [the] 12 Hong Kongers detained in China, the charges that I face are minimal."
