So close, yet so far - Zoi Sadowski-Synnott took home the silver medal in yesterday's Big Air final at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
The 20-year-old snowboarder had already claimed New Zealand's first ever Winter Olympics gold in the slopestyle and a repeat looked possible when she led through the first two runs of the Big Air competition before being edged out by the defending Olympic champion - Austrian Anna Gasser.
But in her hometown of Wānaka there was only pride for the Kiwi's efforts.
