Central Hawke's Bay Maori say they will withdraw their support for the $600-million Ruataniwha dam if there's evidence it will be harmful to the environment. Labour MP's Maryan Street, Ruth Dyson and Moana Mackey joined local groups for a visit to the dam site and they've voiced concerns over the potential for toxic increases in nitrogen levels in the Tukituki River.
