Pauly Fuemana Memorial Service

OMC's Pauly Fuemana died aged 40 on 31 January 2010. OMC's 1995 hit single How Bizarre topped the charts in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Ireland, South Africa and Austria. It remains one of New Zealand's biggest selling songs. Pauly's South Auckland-to-the-world success saw him inspire other musicians, especially from within the Maori and Pacific Island communities, and on his home turf of Otara. Around 400 people gathered at the Otara Music and Arts Centre to celebrate Pauly's life and music. Nick Atkinson went along and experienced an evening of heart-felt speech and performance.
