Before our own times, there were three great revolutions in scientific thought: the Copernican Revolution (c 1550 - 1650), the Chemical Revolution (c. 1750 - 1800), and the Darwinian Revolution (c 1850 - 1900). Philosopher Prof. Alan Musgrave from the University of Otago explains Galileo's run in with the Catholic Church.
