Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his cabinet is set to approve a ceasefire agreement to suspend fighting with Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The deal's been brokered by US President Joe Biden, and would give Israel 60 days to withdraw its forces.

More than 3000 people have died in Israeli strikes on the country since mid-September.

But Mr Netanyahu warned any violation of the deal by Hezbollah would see Israel "respond severely".
