Dr Peter Doshi is one of the authors of the research analysing the effectiveness of influenza drugs Tamiflu and Relenza, and an associate editor on the British Medical Journal, which has published the research. During the 2009 swine flu outbreak, the World Health Organisation recommended countries stock up on Tamiflu - which the new research's authors says has the same efficacy as aspirin.
