US Band Everclear were a goliath in the 1990s with hits like Father of Mine, Santa Monica and Wonderful, and this summer they're teaming up with some of Australia's finest rockers on the Summer Concert Series.
Frontman Art Alexakis was a bad boy of rock: drugs, booze and a lot of unmentionable illegal acts. That all happened before he got clean and formed the super successful Everclear in '92. The band went on to sell over 6 million records - four albums went gold or platinum.
Now, at the age of 63, and with a debilitating health condition, Art Alexakis is still performing with a great zest for life.
Anna Thomas catches up with Art ahead of the tour, which kicks off on Saturday in Queenstown.
