A Land of Two Halves by Joe Bennett was published 20 years ago. The account of his attempt to hitchhike the length and breadth of New Zealand for many remains as relevant now as it was back then.
Earlier this year, Bennett the self-described “pensioner with an iffy prostate” stuck out his thumb once again adding four new chapters covering a journey through Kaikoura, Marlborough and Nelson.
