Megan recently explored a life-long obsession with mermaids which resulted in her 'mer-moir' The Mermaid Chronicles.
She studied art in the 90s, worked in all sorts of places - including a strip club - and writes about her experiences.
Megan considers herself a cross between Fran Lebowitz and Anne of Green Gables, via Huntly and is a well-known voice on RNZ.
She will join Kim Hill in conversation about her new book at Verb Wellington this weekend.
