Auckland Council are considering communications tactics for its drive to sell off parts of the region's public parks and open spaces and marina accesses.
Councillor Penny Hulse, who chairs the environment and community committee, says this is becoming a "confidence issue" between ratepayers and the Council.
Staff are now recommending "communication initiatives" to "highlight the new parks and open spaces acquired", saying these could "help dispel the reputational risk that council is disposing of open space land".
